Bob Amundson is the owner and operator of Misty Mountains Park. I am a lifelong traveler and RVer currently living out my dream of making a difference in the lives of others.
This park is my extension of that. The name is from a Led Zeppelin song - Misty Mountain Hop - about the Hobbit. I want all that visit, from children to old-timers, to feel the sense of magic and adventure I've always felt here in the Allegheny Mountains.
But it goes even deeper than that. This park is my channel to make an impact in both the local economy and the wider world. My initiative Save the Children, and my goals of contributing to a more diverse and kind future for all people are reflected in everything that I do for my guests.
Me and my wife Ana Liza welcome you and your family to our park as good friends. We hope to see you soon!
Our 12-acre property sits just off Interstate 86, only an hour from Buffalo and Rochester and about three hours from Pittsburgh or Cleveland. We offer a full range of conveniences, including a dog park, free Wi-Fi, a pond with kayaks and paddle boats, fire pits, public restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and more, while keeping a back-to-basics camping atmosphere so you can savor nature’s simple charms.
Ideal for families and pet lovers, our 46 RV sites, 20 tent sites, and 3 cabins are a prime base for exploring the Great Lakes, Finger Lakes, Letchworth and Allegany State Parks, Zoar Valley, Kinzua Dam and Bridge, the Triple Divide, and the Chautauqua Institute. Experience scenic drives through seasonal landscapes and quaint historic towns, perfect for lunch or dinner stops.
Experience the beauty of the Allegany Wilds while staying within walking distance of Cuba’s historic village. Browse the Cuba Cheese Shoppe, catch a show at the Palmer Opera House, then head out to nearby hiking, biking, and multi-use trails, cruise Cuba and Rushford Lakes, or discover local artisans offering handcrafted Amish goods, all as part of our simple, back-to-basics getaway.
At Misty Mountain Park, you’ll enjoy a pristine spring-fed ecosystem that holds water at a steady 50 to 55 degrees year-round. That dependable supply means warm showers and reliable amenities even when other Northeast RV parks have shut down for the season, all within a delightfully unplugged, nature-first setting.
One of our most enchanting spots is the gentle stream flowing under an old railroad track through “John’s Tunnel.” This historic corridor brings a sense of timeless character, and the soft murmur of water creates a soothing hideaway where kids can splash and families can linger in the shade.
Whether you’re rinsing off in fresh spring water, drifting across the pond in a paddle boat, or strolling along the shaded tunnel path, Misty Mountain Park invites you to embrace a simple, rustic getaway. Experience why our blend of natural springs, historic intrigue, and down-to-earth charm makes us a favorite destination any time of year.
